As a long-time practitioner of the Intensive Journal ® method of Dr. Ira Progoff, I  have 40+ years of experience in effecting my own life transitions. In the process of transiting three separate vocational pursuits, I earned a bachelors degree in history, a masters degree in theology, and three professional consulting certifications. But it has been my engagement with the journal process that I discovered the “central narrative” of my life.  Lying dormant beneath many failed efforts to camouflage my  fearful, uncomfortable and shamed self, I discovered a creativity that continues to surprise, amaze and energize who I  am. It is an ongoing and life-enhancing experience.

I now conduct a private, not-for-profit counseling and consulting service titled IMAGINE LIFE: Transitions  in Victoria, British Columbia. See more details on the website of my sponsoring society in British Columbia at

In addition the my current certification as a Consultant / Facilitator for the Intensive Journal® program in British Columbia, I am an Honorary Life Member for the United Way of Greater Victoria.  I also volunteer with both the Restorative Justice Coalition of William Head Institution ( a minimum security federal prison) and The NEW ROADS community (Our Place Society), a secure housing facility for men who are homeless, jobless and recovering from addiction.  I also volunteer my I J facilitation program for FAMILY CAREGIVERS OF BC.

By means of an ongoing relationship with my own Intensive Journal work, I  now live in marvelous and creative renewal of life-purpose, both inwardly and by means of engagement with family,  friends and my community.
